Experience Andalusia at Your Own Pace
Winter reveals a different side of inland Andalusia.
The days feel less hurried. Roads, walking routes and white villages are quieter. There is time for morning coffee with a view, a long lunch in Álora, an afternoon walk or simply another chapter of your book on the terrace.
From 1 December to 28 February, winter stays in Andalusia take on a different rhythm at Finca Gran Cerros, when the finca becomes a private self-catering retreat: warm, comfortable and fully equipped for guests who want the freedom to shape each day for themselves.
Many of our guests return time and again to experience a different side of Finca Gran Cerros.
A Different Rhythm
Winter here isn’t a quieter version of summer. It offers something entirely different.
There is time for slow mornings, long lunches and unplanned afternoons. Walk the Caminito del Rey before returning to your terrace for coffee in the winter sun. Wander Álora’s streets without the crowds.
Drive to Málaga for the day, or simply stay at the finca and watch the light move across the valley.
There is no pressure to see everything. The freedom is choosing exactly how much – or how little – you want each day to hold.

Stay Longer. See More.
A short break offers a glimpse. A week allows the days to open up. Stay for two or three weeks and you can begin to settle into the place rather than simply pass through it.
There is no need to choose between exploring and resting. With more time, you can do both naturally: a day in Málaga followed by a quiet morning at the finca; Caminito del Rey one day and coffee on your terrace the next; local markets, white villages and long lunches without trying to fit everything into a fixed itinerary.
For direct winter bookings, stay-length savings are available:
• 7 nights – 5% saving
• 14 nights – 8% saving
• 21 nights – 10% saving
Longer stays of up to 28 nights may also be available by arrangement.
Three Places to Make Your Own
Finca Gran Cerros has just three self-contained accommodation options, each with its own character, private outdoor space and far-reaching countryside views.
Casita El Torcal
A spacious one-bedroom casita for two, with a large private terrace and plenty of room to settle in.
Its open-plan layout, well-equipped kitchen and generous outdoor space make it especially comfortable for a longer winter stay.
Best for:
Couples who value space, privacy and time spent at the finca.
Casita Caminito del Rey
A private one-bedroom casita for two, overlooking the pool and valley beyond.
Compact, comfortable and thoughtfully equipped, it is a lovely base for days spent exploring — or for reading, drinking coffee and admiring the view.
Best for:
Couples looking for privacy, value and a peaceful base for discovering inland Andalusia.
Apartment El Chorro
Our largest accommodation, with two bedrooms, a spacious living area, a well-equipped kitchen and a broad private balcony overlooking the countryside. It offers extra room for two guests who prefer more space, or for up to four adults travelling together.
Best for:
Friends, two couples or guests planning a longer stay with more living space.
Comfort for Every Season
Winter stays are fully self-catering, giving you the freedom to eat, explore and shape each day exactly as you choose.
Each accommodation includes:
• Is own private well-equipped kitchen
• Heating throughout
• Wi-Fi and space to work or plan the day
• Comfortable beds and quality bed linen
• A private terrace or balcony
• Use of the shared outdoor kitchen and honesty bar
• Access to the finca’s gardens and seating areas
• Use of the swimming pool, which remains open but is not heated
Everything is designed to make longer stays feel comfortable, relaxed and entirely your own.
A Personal Welcome With Space to Yourself
Every stay begins with a personal welcome, along with everything you need to settle in comfortably.
During the quieter winter months, Michael and Shaun may not always be on site throughout your stay. Support is always available by phone or WhatsApp whenever you need it, while your accommodation remains entirely your own.
It’s the same balance guests have appreciated for years: help when it’s useful, privacy when it isn’t.
Winter Days, Made Your Way
There is no single way to spend winter here. That’s exactly what makes it special.
Go Out
Walk Caminito del Rey without the intensity of summer heat. Explore Álora, Antequera or Málaga. Drive through the hills towards white villages, local markets and long lunches.
Enjoy the changing landscape and return when you are ready.
Stay In
Make coffee, open the doors to the view and let the day unfold. Read on the terrace when the weather allows. Cook something simple.
Watch the light move across the valley. Do less – without feeling that you’re missing out.
There’s no single way to spend winter here. That’s what makes it work.
Good for the soul.
