El Puente
Located on the roadside between Finca Gran Cerros and Álora, this Dutch-owned rustic café bar is useful for earlier dining, opening from 4:00pm. Known for homemade burgers and casual comfort food. A practical option when you don’t want to travel far.
Sol del Río
A relaxed, informal restaurant in Barriada el Puente, close to the finca offering generous portions of traditional Andalusian dishes. Popular with locals and dependable for a simple, unfussy meal without the need to head into town. A convenient option for a low-key lunch or evening close to home.
Just 10–15 minutes from the finca, Álora is our nearest town and where guests will find the widest choice of nearby restaurants.
Casa Nelly
Rustic Andalusian dining with views across the illuminated whitewashed town. Known for grilled meats and warm hospitality. Free parking available outside.
La Taberna del Caminito
A relaxed tapas bar in the centre of town serving traditional Spanish dishes. Our go-to spot for informal dining. Parking in the main car park, followed by a short walk.
Casa Abelio
A characterful former bishop’s residence offering refined Andalusian cuisine in an atmospheric setting. A good choice for something slightly special.
Pizzeria Vitteli
Authentic Roman-style pinsas, handmade and wood-fired. Very popular, so booking is recommended.
El Cortijillo de Juan
A contemporary Andalusian restaurant offering beautifully presented dishes rooted in local ingredients. Suitable for a relaxed but slightly more refined evening out.
La Sede
A stylish, modern restaurant in the heart of Álora offering creative interpretations of traditional cuisine. A good option if you’re looking for something that feels different from classic tapas bars without becoming overly formal.
We recommend parking in the main tiered car park and walking through town.
We’re often asked for useful stops when visiting the lakes at El Chorro or walking the Caminito del Rey.
Restaurante Kontiki (Bermejo-Caracuel)
A traditional roadside restaurant popular with locals. Known for generous portions and good value, it’s a convenient lunch stop when exploring the lakes or returning from the Caminito.
El Mirador de Ardales
A scenic restaurant overlooking the lakes near Ardales, with elevated views across the surrounding landscape. A pleasant stop for lunch before or after a visit to the Caminito del Rey or El Chorro Lakes.
Do allow a little extra time – particularly in summer – as it can be busy and service is typically unhurried.
Asador Don Joaquín
Just outside Álora on the road towards Pizarra, this spacious contemporary restaurant specialises in cuisine from northern Spain (Castilla y León). Particularly well known for its wood-fired meats, although the fish dishes are also recommended.
A good option for a more substantial lunch or dinner that feels occasion-worthy without being overly formal.
Heladería Artesanal La Exquisita
Handmade ice cream produced on site, with indoor and outdoor seating. A popular stop on warm afternoons.
La Algarbia
Modern tapas with a creative, seasonal approach. A refreshing alternative to more traditional menus. They also offer a popular menu del día and host occasional wine tasting and food pairing evenings.

La Fontana
An authentic Italian restaurant offering classic dishes in a welcoming environment near the cathedral steps. A good alternative if you’d prefer something non-Spanish during your visit.
Ronda has quietly developed one of the strongest dining scenes in inland Andalusia.
Many guests choose to stay into the evening – combining dramatic views with a memorable meal before returning to the calm of the finca.

The more informal sister restaurant to Bardal. Creative tapas and seasonal dishes in a relaxed setting, bringing the same attention to flavour without the formality of a tasting menu.
Restaurante Almocábar
Located just outside the old town walls, Almocábar is a long-established favourite known for its wood-fired meats and traditional Andalusian cooking. Generous portions, warm service, and a dependable, authentic experience.
