Covid-19 Special Measures?

In addition to our usual high standards of service and hygiene, we’ll be implementing Government requirements to comply with social distancing and enhanced cleaning/disinfecting at Finca Gran Cerros, to do our utmost to keep our guests (and ourselves) as safe and healthy as possible.

We will:

  • Initially be limiting the number of guests and only opening one of our three apartments.  This will change as the special measures imposed by the Spanish government’s state of alarm ease
  • Provide breakfast to your own individual terrace at a time of your choosing (while maintaining social distancing)
  • Offer private dining on your own terrace at a time of your choosing (while maintaining social distancing)

In addition, we will:

  • Provide hand sanitiser for all guests in rooms and communal areas
  • Disinfect the pool area and sun loungers daily
  • Disinfect the open-air kitchen / bar daily
  • Deep-clean and disinfect all apartments between guests

We’ll be asking all guests to:

  • Respect a 1.5m social distance between themselves and any other guests/hosts and regularly use the hand sanitiser provided
  • Use the cleaning materials provided to wipe down sun beds within the gardens/pool area before and after use if more than one apartment is occupied
  • Follow any additional guidance over the use of facilities as may be required

There is free-parking available to guests at Finca Gran Cerros.

A parking reservation is not necessary as spaces are not individually allocated.

Cancellation policy?

If for some reason you do need to cancel, let us know as soon as you can by emailing us.

For bookings made directly with us, you can cancel your booking without any penalty up to 60 days of the first night of your stay.  Cancellations within 60 days of the start of your stay do attract cancellation fees:

  • Cancellation made 60 days or more in advance of arrival date = Full deposit refund
  • Cancellation made between 59 days and 30 days of arrival date = 50% of deposit refunded
  • Cancellation made 29 days or less of arrival date = No refund issued and the full amount of booking is due

Check-in and check-out times?

Our standard times are:

  • Check-in between 15.00 and 22.00
  • Check-out by 11.00

Although do always ask us in advance if your travel plans mean that you’d prefer an early or late check-in / check-out and we’ll do our best to accommodate it if at all possible.

We offer storage facilities for your luggage on the day of arrival and departure free of charge if needed.

Security deposit?

We trust all our guests to treat Finca Gran Cerros as their home from home, so we don’t ask for a security deposit payment.

Instead, we ask that you let us know about any breakages or damage as soon as possible so that we can quickly make sure that it is put right.  There may be occassions when we ask you to pay for damage or breakages.

Airport Transfer

We’re around 45km from Málaga airport, which is a car hire hub.

Alternatively, an airport licensed taxi from the large taxi rank at the airport is approx €70.

A private transfer, booked with a local diver in Álora, is €50 – and if you’d like to use that option, let us know in advance and we can provide details for you to book the service direct.

There is also a train service from Málaga airport to Álora station, which is only a 10-15 minute taxi ride away.  The train journey takes around 45 minutes and includes one change at ‘Malaga Victoria Kent’, which just involves crossing the platform! The journey costs less than €8 each way.

Complimentary Breakfast

Breakfast is served between 08:30 and 10:30 and is brought to your own private terrace.  Just let us know if you have a preferred time, otherwise it’ll be served at around 09:30.

Breakfast changes daily and is complimentary (but not obligatory).  So if you would prefer not to have breakfast provided, just let us know; we won’t be offended!

Evening Meals

We’re both enthusiastic cooks. So if you don’t feel like cooking, or driving out to eat, let us know before midday and we’ll make sure we pick up enough fresh ingredients to cater for you.

We’ll serve dinner on your private terrace or in your apartment.  The set menu menu changes regularly, so just ask what’s on the daily fixed menu del dia, priced at €15 per person for two courses.

Pet friendly?

We recently adopted a second rescue greyhound (a Spanish Galgo called Gracie).  She’s gorgeous and very gentle but, unfortunately, she had a dreadful start in life and as a result she’s very nervous of other animals.

For that reason, we’ve decided that it wouldn’t be fair to her to have other dogs staying here, so we’re sorry to say that we’re not able to accommodate guests’ pets.

Children allowed?

Due to the nature of the buildings and grounds, principally the steep nature of the property, unfortunately, it is unsuitable for children and those with mobility difficulties.

Dietry requirements?

If you have any dietry requirements, please let us know in advance of your arrival and we’ll ensure that your complimentary breakfast is prepared in accordance with your needs.


Finca Gran Cerros is a non-smoking environment.

Smoking of any kind, including cigarettes, pipes, cigars and e-cigarettes/vaping, isn’t allowed in any of our apartments, gardens or communal areas.

If guests do wish to smoke, they will be directed to a smoking area, along the drive, near to the entrance to the property.

Due to the fact that our guests expect a non-smoking environment, if guests have smoked in any of our accommodation, we reserve the right to charge a specialist cleaning fee of €300 per room.

Housekeeping: Bedding and linen?

Bedding & Linen

All bedding and linen is provided for you, including pool towels.

Our towels are pure cotton and bed linen is Egyptian cotton.


We provide a choice of soft duck-down feather pillows and firmer memory foam pillows.  Anti-allergen pillows are also available upon request.


For guests with longer stays, bedding and towels are changed each week.  However, please let us know if you would like fresh bedding or towels earlier.

All of our accommodation includes the following:

Tourist licence?

Each of our three apartments has been inspected and individually registered with the Junta de Andalucia, through the Málaga Tourist Department:
