Casita El Torcal is our largest one-bed self-contained casita at Finca Gran Cerros, our peaceful adults-only rural retreat in the hills above Álora, close to El Chorro and the Caminito del Rey.
Designed for two guests, it combines generous indoor living space with a large private terrace overlooking the surrounding countryside. Whether you’re visiting for a few days or settling in for a longer stay, it’s a place where comfort, privacy and simplicity come naturally.

Inside, the casita feels bright, spacious and relaxed. The open-plan living area offers plenty of room to read, cook, unwind or simply enjoy a slower pace, while the separate bedroom area creates a comfortable retreat at the end of the day.
Step outside and the generous private terrace quickly becomes part of daily life.
With space for dining, lounging and taking in the uninterrupted valley views, it’s somewhere you’ll naturally find yourself spending hours without ever feeling the need to be elsewhere.
Casita El Torcal is often chosen by guests who appreciate having a little more room to settle in.
Some spend their days exploring the Caminito del Rey, nearby white villages and the Andalusian countryside before returning to the peace of the finca. Others happily spend entire afternoons reading on the terrace, enjoying long lunches outdoors or simply watching the changing light move across the hills.
The atmosphere is intentionally calm and unhurried. There is no expectation to fill every hour – only the freedom to enjoy your stay in whatever way feels right.
From 1 December to 28 February, Casita El Torcal is available on a fully self-catering basis.
Its generous living space, fully equipped kitchen, heating, Wi-Fi and private terrace make it particularly well suited to longer winter stays, whether you’re looking for a peaceful escape, a walking holiday, or simply a change of scenery for a week or two.
Many guests enjoy settling into an easy daily rhythm – exploring when the weather invites them out and returning to a comfortable space that quickly begins to feel like home.
